The second Agile Software Development gathering, organised by Agile Malta, will be held on December 5, following the success of the first meeting held last February.
Agile is a new way of developing software which promotes common sense and allows businesses to create products in a lighter, faster and more people-centric way.
The keynote speaker for the gathering will be Swedish Agile expert Joachim Ohlrogge. Sweden is one of the most advanced countries in the adoption of this method.
The conference is mainly aimed at technical and managerial positions and the main focus is delivering business value, which the organisers believe is important to be understood by all personnel at every level.
The main conference sponsors are Uniblue and Credit Union Bank. The conference is also sponsored by BCS Malta Section, Catalogue Solutions and Compleet-Is.
The organisers said the first conference in February hosted 45 attendees from various Maltese companies, making an interesting mix of attendees that shared ideas and experiences. The programme included real-life experiences of Agile implementations in various local companies including 6pm, Crimsonwing and ETC, and technical talks for more advanced users.
Agile Malta is a non-profit group made of three people passionate about Agile: Aldo Cauchi Savona and David Sammut from Goldfish Ltd (Malta) and Gillian Attard, an independent consultant.
