The Malta International Training Centre (MITC) recently held its annual graduation ceremony.

Certificates and diplomas in a variety of insurance and finance disciplines were presented to graduates by Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) chief operations officer Joseph Demanuele.

Mr Demanuele highlighted the importance of equipping the industry with professional and competent personnel, and explained how the local regulator is supporting training initiatives in the best interests of the financial services market.

Also receiving certificates were participants from Commonwealth countries who were in Malta for a week-long training programme in insurance supervision and regulation.

MITC director of studies Andre Farrugia presented prizes to the best-performing students in MITC insurance and finance programmes.

MITC is an autonomous, non-profit-making organisation dedicated to the training of human resources in insurance, risk management and financial services.
