‘Jungle Wonderland – a Haven for Literacy and Creativity’ was recently launched at St Theresa College, Lija-Balzan-Iklin Primary School.

Education Minister Dolores Cristina inaugurated the project.

Jungle Wonderland is a literacy room which has been built in an effort to offer students a space removed from the formal classroom setting. It is designed to provide a relaxed atmosphere that is more conducive to literary and creative activities.

All four classroom walls depict scenes from the jungle, with illustrations of wild animals from different parts of the world. The murals, painted by local artist, Joseph Farrugia, are a celebration of colour, diversity and fantasy.
