MIZZI. On September 10, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, ALBERT (Bertie), aged 87, after a short illness, went to meet his Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his beloved wife Elda, née Radmilli, his dear son Alec and his wife Bernie, his adored grand-daughter Stephie, his sister Sophie Grech, his sisters-in-law Lilian Mizzi, Rita Mizzi and Iris Sciortino, his brothers-in-law Derek Vella and Louis Radmilli, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends and colleagues. The funeral cortège leaves St James Capua Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Caritas, Floriana, and Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
WEST. On September 10, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, ANDREW of Cospicua and residing in Fgura, aged 66, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Always loved and remembered by his wife Mary, his daughters Roberta and her husband Joseph Falzon, and Lorna Marie, his granddaughters Julia and Michela, his brother Anthony, his sisters Josephine, Marielle and Emily, their respective spouses, his in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.45am, for the Fgura parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
