AXIAK. On June 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELO of Gżira, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Rosemarie, daughter Debbie, son Michael, granddaughters Brandy, Natalie, and Sarah, great-grandchildren Michael, Julia, and Brody, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, June 17 at 1.45pm for Gżira parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Żabbar cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
CLIFTON. On June 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, Fr FRANK CLIFTON, Salesian of Don Bosco, passed away at the age of 79. He will never be forgotten by his brothers and sisters, John, Michael, David, Rosemary, Bernadette, Christopher and their families, the family of his late sister Veronica, the Salesian family of Malta, Ireland and England, relatives, past pupils and friends. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, June 17. The body will be laid in state for private prayers at 1.15pm at Dar Don Bosco chapel, Dingli. The cortège to Dingli parish church will leave the chapel at 1.50pm. Mass præsente cadavere will start at 2pm.
PACE. On June 12, MARIA DOLORES (Doris), widow of Francis Xavier, residing at Birkirkara, aged 88, at Mater Dei Hospital, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joe and his wife Isabella, Judy and her husband Anthony Zammit, Jonathan and his wife Josette, her grandchildren Becky and her husband Andrea Trapani, Susan, Elena and Erika. She is also mourned by her in-laws Vivienne Cassar, Joseph Pace, Antoinette Evershed and Antida Gatt, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, at 1.30pm for Santa Maria parish church (Il-Knisja l-Qadima), Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. May the Almighty God grand her eternal rest.
PORTELLI. On June 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, HELEN, aged 68, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Rose Marie and her brothers Lino and his wife Censina, and Joe and his wife Margaret, her numerous nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.45pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadaverewill be said at 2.15pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
ZERAFA. On June 13, MARY, widow of John, aged 72, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Andre and his wife Audrey Demicoli and her beloved granddaughter Giulia. She is also mourned by her in-laws Saviour and Jane Demicoli, her niece Katia and husband Pierre, her nephew Karl Schembri and her dear cousin Marthese. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.15pm. May God grant her eternal rest. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta would be greatly appreciated.
