BOXALL. On September 29, at QA Hospital, UK, STACEY, née Sammut, formerly of Mellieħa, aged 39, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreplaceable loss her husband Darren, her son Adam, her mum and dad, Miriam and Anthony Sammut, her sister Sandra and husband Eddie Debono, her niece Gabrielle and nephew Jean Pierre, grandmother Judith, uncles, aunts and cousins, her in-laws Ken and Jasmine Boxall, and other relatives and friends. A requiem Mass for her repose will be celebrated on October 29 at 3.30 p.m. at Maria Bambina parish church, Mellieħa. Relatives, friends and members of Gruppi Familji Nsara (Kana) are invited to attend.

BUGEJA. On October 26, at Boffa Hospital, Sister CARMEN of the Augustinian Sisters, Birkirkara, aged 62, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Augustinian Sisters, her father Ġużeppi, her sisters and brothers, Doris and Michael Borg, Fr Manuel, Ursola and Joe Gauci, Ċettina and Tony Scriha, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Sebastian parish church, Qormi, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

GRIMA. On October 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFRED, aged 69. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Doreen, their children Priscilla and her husband Joseph, Adrian and his wife Nathalie, Andrew and his fiancée Vicky, his grandchildren Christine, Sanwel and Rafel, his sister Mary and her brother Joe and their spouses, other relatives and friends. LUCIA. On October 24, STEFANO, aged 36, passed away under tragic circumstances. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mariella, his children Andrea and Michele, his loving mother Doris, his sisters and brother, Marisa and her husband Henri Portelli, Alfredo and his wife Anna, Patrizia and her husband Tony Gauci, Liliana and her husband Stephen Warrington, his in-laws George and Frances Attard, his sisters-in-law Annette, wife of David Bonello, and Nadia, all his nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles. VELLA. On October 26, FILOMENA, aged 82, of Żebbuġ, residing at Balzan, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Marylouise and her husband Saviour, Antoinette and her husband John, Josephine and her husband Joseph, her grandchildren Joseph William and his wife Lisa, Kenneth, Nicoletta and her husband Anthony, Ian, Mark and Robert, her great-grandchildren Ana and Katrina, her brother Philip Saliba of the Christine Doctrine Society (MUSEUM), her in-laws Joseph Vella and Rose Galea and other relatives. DLĦ concert and dinner

The 45th anniversary autumn concert and dinner organised by Din l-Art Ħelwa will be held on November 27 at the Auberge de Castille, in Valletta at 7.30 p.m. under the patronage of Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi.

The event will feature a vocal recital by Maltese soprano, Lydia Caruana, who will present a varied programme comprising arias by Mozart, Puccini and Cilea, famous operetta arias and some immortal art songs by Arditi, Leoncavallo and Gastaldon.

The recital will be followed by pre-dinner drinks on the grand landing of the auberge and dinner in the Ambassadors’ Room. Invitations for the event are issued against a donation of €42 per person and are available through the offices of DLĦ at 133, Melita St, Valletta.
