Mr RODNEY JAMES NAUDI and Miss MARICA GALEA
The marriage took place on June 5, at St Aloysius church, Birkirkara, between RODNEY JAMES, son of Mr Gaetan and Mrs Imelda Naudi of Kappara, and MARICA, daughter of Mr Joseph G. and Mrs Anne Galea of Fleur-de-Lys. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Joseph Cassar, SJ, with Fr Joseph Saliba, O.Carm., parish priest of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Fleur-de-Lys, and Fr Edgar Busuttil, SJ. The ceremony was witnessed by Ing. Steffan G. Galea and Ing. Gilbert Naudi. The duties of best man were carried out by the bride's brother, Andrew, while Mr Joseph Agius and Brian Galea acted as ushers. The bride was attended by Mrs Natalie Naudi. A reception was later held at Hotel Corinthia, San Ġorġ. The couple are spending their honeymoon in Paris and London.

Mr ALEXANDER TORTELL and Ms MARIJA SCHRANZ
The marriage took place on Sunday, June 6, at the Chapel of the Shipwreck of St Paul, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, between ALEXANDER, son of Mrs Josephine Tortell and the late Mr Victor Tortell of Attard, and MARIJA, daughter of Prof. John J. and Mrs Marlene Schranz of San Pawl tat-Tarġa. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by the Jesuit Provincial Fr Paul Pace, SJ. The ceremony was witnessed by Mr Roderick Vassallo and Mrs Claudine Borg Azzopardi. Mr Renato Camilleri carried out the duties of best man while Mr Paul Pisani and Mr Edward Psaila were ushers. Ms Marina Skaletz, the bride's cousin, was maid of honour, while the bride's nephew Master Tristàn Schranz-Der was pageboy. A party was later held at Meridiana Wine Estate, Ta' Qali.

Obituary

AMAIRA. On June 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, LOURDES née Muscat, of Floriana residing in Birkirkara, aged 51, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Tony, her only son Andrew and his fiancée Daniela, her mother Mary, her sisters Alida and her husband Charles Zammit Moore, Carmen and her husband Alfred Mallia, residing in Australia, Judith and her husband Geatano Vella and Josette and her husband Christopher Haber, her in-laws Carmen and her husband Joseph Micallef, Joseph Amaira and his wife Ruth, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for Floriana parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery where she will be laid to rest in the family grave. Donations to the Hospice Movement will be much appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

BORG. On June 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMMANUEL, aged 84, of Valletta, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Frances, Carmen, Dorothy, Anna and Martin, Josette, Marion and Christopher and their spouses, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow for Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

FALZON. On June 12, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, MARY STELLA, of Sliema, aged 82 , passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved brother Carmelo, her brother Salvinu and his wife Maria residing in Australia, her sister Violet and her husband France, also residing in Australia, her nieces and nephews in Malta and abroad, their spouses, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence today at 7.30 a.m. for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8 a.m. followed by interment in the family vault. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest. Special thanks go to the extremely dedicated staff at St Joseph Ward 11 for their love and care.

TESTA. On June 1, THERESE (Sister Mariella), passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss the White Sisters (Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa), her sisters Cora, Josette, Sandra and Marie, her in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
