BONNICI. On April 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMEN, aged 48, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Group, her children Alex, Joanne and her boyfriend Damien, Joseph and his girlfriend Rescenda and her grandson Jake, her mother Josephine, widow of Joseph Vella, her sister Tania and her husband Gregory Bonavia, her brother Mario and his wife Liliana, her mother-in-law Paola, widow of Saviour Bonnici, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Carmen, Joe, John, Doris, Emanuel, Mario, Sister Paulanne of the Missionaries of Charity, and Saviour, widower of Frances née Bonnici, their respective husbands, wives, nephews and nieces, and respective families and many relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 3.15 p.m. for the Qalb bla Tebgħa ta' Maria parish church, Burmarrad, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m., followed by interment at the Divine Mercy Cemetery, St Paul's Bay. The family would like to show its sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at the MITU Ward, Mater Dei Hospital. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Vivien, Carmen, widow of Paul Astarita, Joe and his wife Rose, residing in UK, Saviour, May and her husband Tony Camenzuli, her grandchildren Stephen, Helen, Alison, Adrian, Daniel, Sandra, her great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters and brothers, Mary, Nuala, widow of Edgar, Antoinette Spiteri, Oscar and his wife Rosa and Walter, all his nephews and nieces, especially Joseph and Vicky Naudi Montaldo, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, today at 8.45 a.m. for St Julians parish church where a Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.15 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. STRATI. On April 13, MARIA, aged 90, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Marcella, her cousins, amongst whom Mgr Fortunato Mizzi, relatives and friends. Last spotlight concert

The Manoel Theatre will present the last Spotlight concert of the season at Sala Isouard on April 22 at 7.30 p.m.

This series is aimed at highlighting a number of works by contemporary Maltese composers while also performing music by foreign composers.

The Maltese composer for the next concert is Jesmond Grixti, who is based in Australia but is still a regular visitor to his homeland. The other work in the programme is Australian composer Brenton Broadstock's I Touched Your Glistening Tears, for piano, violin and cello. Mr Broadstock was Mr Grixti's tutor at the University of Melbourne where the younger composer graduated.

Church model society

The Għaqda Dilettanti Mudelli ta' Knejjes will commemorate its patron saint, St Joseph, at the society's headquarters in East Street, Valletta on April 25 at 9.30 a.m. A talk about St Joseph will be given by Ralph Micallef after which the society's headquarters will be blessed by archpriest Fr Alfred Camilleri.

Comic play in Rabat

The Talent Depiro drama company will be staging a comedy, Polly u Polly, about the complexities of a professor's family.

Two men find themselves about to get engaged to the same woman. Who is the culprit?

The play will be held at Sant'Agata Auditorium, Rabat on April 24 at 7.30 p.m. and April 25 at 6.30 p.m.
