Marriages

Mr Karl Depasquale, B.Sc. (Hons) and Dr Nicolette Balani, BA, LL.D.
The marriage took place on June 7 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, St Julian's, between Karl, son of Dr and Mrs George Depasquale of Birkirkara and Nicolette, daughter of Mr and Mrs Robert Balani of Kappara. Nupital Mass was concelebrated by His Excellency Bishop Annetto Depasquale, Mgr Victor Grech and Rev. Jonathan Farrugia. The ceremony was witnessed by Mr John Balani, Miss Justine Balani, Miss Antonella Zammit and Miss Alexia Critien. The duties of best man were carried out jointly by Mr Raphael Borg Ellul Vincenti and Mr Darren Sillato. The bride was attended by Miss Deborah Camilleri Briffa as maid of honour, while Miss Sandra West, Miss Sunaina Balani and Miss Gillian Balani were bridesmaids. Miss Jeanine Depasquale was flower girl. Acting as ushers were Dr Malcolm West, Mr Vishal Balani, Mr Rohan Mirpuri and Mr Keith Sammut. A reception was later held in the gardens of Villa Bologna.

Mr SACHA SAID and Miss DENISE ABELA
The marriage took place on June 14, at Our Lady of Liesse church, Valletta, between SACHA, son of Mrs Angela Said and the late Godwin of Sliema, and DENISE, daughter of Mr and Mrs Oliver Abela of Blata l-Bajda. Fr Claude Portelli celebrated Mass. The ceremony was witnessed by Ms Edith Hili and Dr Matthew Bianchi, LL.D. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Michael Mifsud. Miss Ilaria E. Sullivan was bridesmaid. Miss Amelia Camilleri and Miss Matthea Bianchi were flowergirls. Master Shaun Said and Master Andrew Bartoli were pageboys. Mr Remy Said acted as usher. A reception was later held at the Hilton, St Julian's.

Obituary

CAMILLERI. On July 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOE, of Żabbar, aged 86, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother Bro. Louis Camilleri, FSC, of the De La Salle Brothers, Spiro and his wife Jackie, his sisters Catherine, Tina and her husband Joe Buttigieg, Doris, widow of Maurice Abdilla, Bice and her husband Salvinu Muscat and Marie Thérèse, widow of his brother Reno, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. for Our Lady of Graces parish church, Zabbar, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m. followed by interment at St Leone cemetery, Zurrieq. No flowers by request but donations to charitable institutions will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Saviour, her children Rita, Catherine and her husband Robert Delezio, and Joseph and his wife Rose, her grandchildren Etienne, Imelda, Justin, Duncan, Steve, Shaun and Andre, her brothers and sisters George, Romeo, Karmena, Catherine and Joe, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 3 p.m. for St Catherine's parish church, Zurrieq, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment at the St Leone Cemetery, Zurrieq. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SALOMONE. On July 5, at St James Capua Hospital, ALBERT W., aged 86, in serenity and dignity, went to meet his Risen Lord. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted family, his daughter Patricia, Dr Pierre Sansone, his daughter Daniela and her husband Dr Itzhak Londner, his grandsons, Dr Luigi and his wife Daniela, Alberto and his fiancée, Dr Cynthia Barbara, his granddaughters, Michal and her husband Ofer Lichtman, Avigail and her husband Lior Zivi and Elinor. Besides other dear relatives and friends, he leaves his last joys, his great-grandchildren Valentina, Matteo, Lavie, Daria and Elroi. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow, at 9 a.m at L-Ibraġ parish church.
