Malta champion Alex Borg yesterday easily won his second round match in the WSA Challenge Tour Event One against Englishman Matthew Street 4-1 in Prestatyn, Wales.

Although never setting any houses on fire, Borg played steadily after winning the first frame on the black.

Street drew level in frame two, but Borg's greater experience gave him victory as he took the next three frames.

On Sunday, Borg won his first round match against Justin Astley 4-3.

He found it hard to get to grips with the lightning fast table conditions and soon found himself 1-3 down.

Borg rallied well, and with the aid of a 104 in frame five, he drew level in the sixth frame and easily won the decider to go through.

Borg will play his next match this afternoon against Stefan Mazrocis. The latter eliminated Jeff Cundy 4-2.
