British Jet, which calls itself Malta's low-cost airline, will next week restart its operations to Birmingham, East Midlands, Newcastle and Leeds/Bradford with a weekly flight to each airport.

Robby Borg, owner and chief executive officer, said yesterday the company was currently operating to Gatwick four times weekly and to Manchester twice a week. Flights to Gatwick will be daily and to Manchester three times a week as from May.

The company will also embark on weekly operations to Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Stansted and Glasgow in June.

Prices start from Lm14 one-way excluding taxes and fuel surcharge.
