A census of agriculture, conducted by the National Statistics Office and co-financed by the European Commission, will be held next Tuesday.
The census was intended to identify and measure changes in the agricultural sector so as to enact policies that would benefit it.
Growers and breeders will be asked to give details about their operations, such as livestock numbers, machinery used and land usage.
The Census of Agriculture was first carried out in 1955 when it replaced the annual Agricultural Survey which had been conducted for 20 years under the provisions of the 1935 Agricultural Returns Ordinance.
