A man who allegedly used to sell duty-free diesel from his boat has been taken to court and accused of being in possession of 41,324 litres of diesel and failing to pay customs duties of €9,800 on it.
The case is alleged to have happened in April 2004.
The prosecution is claiming that John Busuttil, 51, used to profit from a concession to take duty-free diesel but then sold the diesel when he left harbour.
Mr Busuttil is denying the charges.
