Prof. David Attard recently received credentials as a distinguished scholar by St James College for his research devoted to advancing the understanding of the analysis and management of complex human problems, conflicts, emergencies and preparedness planning in organisations, regions and areas.
He was also appointed Dean and trusted with acting as worldwide director of the SJC International Institute for Strategic Policy and Security Studies, housed at St James College in Florida, USA.
The institute is a satellite educational body aiming to promote academic and professional knowledge related to how organisational, political and social structures can be transformed and developed in conflicting situations and to work for the understanding of how an integral situation management approach can help provide safe organisations and communities.
Prof. Attard has developed a unique strategic management system for the expert application of business continuity, risk assessment and socio-political analysis for leaders, managers and other professionals in a wide variety of settings and scenarios.
He is professor of Philosophy and Human Studies at SJC and holds web lectures, webinars and writes on political and social philosophy, policy development and intellectual history. He is an Education graduate from the University of Malta and secured a number of advanced degrees in psychology, counselling, strategic management and social and political philosophy.
Prof. Attard has been a senior adviser to boards and management of a number of financial, business, clinical and academic organisations over the past 20 years.
He was engaged in senior management and directorships in private and national public organisations and has worked in a senior management position at the Malta Maritime Authority.
