A resounding display of American Muscle was on show at the Qormi Car Show yesterday.

Oldsmobiles, Chevrolets, a whole row of Ford Mustangs and even a replica of the car which starred in the famous Dukes of Hazzard television series, the General Lee, turned up.

Other modified cars prepared for street, show and drag racing use and hailing from all over the world were also there, along with a few motorcycles thrown in for good measure, making for an eclectic mix of metal on display to please the many visitors.

The show, organised annually by the Qormi local council and the St Sebastian Youth Commission, was held in the run up to Qormi Day, tomorrow. It was held in Kortil il-Granmastru, the square next to St Sebastian parish church, Qormi.
