The Xara Palace Relais and Chateaux in Mdina has been named one of the top 10 castle hotels worldwide by Foxnews.com, a website that averages 25 million unique visitors per month.

This latest accolade for the five-star boutique hotel follows features in Condé Nast’s Vanity Fair, The Wall Street Journal, Diplomat Magazine, and visits by celebrities including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Sharon Stone, Orlando Bloom, Jennifer Anniston and Bruce Willis.

According to Fox, among the Xara Palace’s many wow factors is that its walls are integrated into the bastions of the fortified medieval city.

“Because of the property’s setting, the rooftop de Mondion restaurant offers a truly stunning dining experience,” the article adds.

Owned by the Zammit Tabona family, the 17th century palace contains 17 individually-designed rooms and two restaurants.
