Two chilled Nestlé pasta products withdrawn from Spain and Italy – Buitoni Beef Ravioli and Beef Tortellini – are not found in Malta’s freezers, the company said yesterday.

Neither is another withdrawn product, Lasagne à la Bolognaise Gourmandes, a frozen food for catering businesses made in France.

Nestlé has suspended deliveries of all products made using beef from a German subcontractor. This followed the discovery of traces of horsemeat DNA in beef products made by H. J. Schypke.

However, these products are not sold by Nestlé in Malta.
