In reaction to the article about the waste of free medicines, I would like to point out that the pharmacy of my choice had to send back to the supplier more than half of the medicine products because they were on the brink of expiry. This waste is not caused by the patient but by the government itself.

I have written letters to Minister Joe Cassar as the responsible person to improve the logistics of medicine. Sometimes, medicine is out of stock for several months (this can be dangerous) and sometimes it would have been in stock for too long, near expiring.

Dr Cassar washed his hands like Pilate and blamed everybody but himself.
