Luc Tooten
Belgian musician Luc Tooten will give a violoncello recital as part of the Victoria International Arts Festival.
Tooten is the first cellist with the Brussels Philharmonic.
He studied at the Brussels Conservatory with Carlo Schmitz and trained further with Reine Flachot and Mstislav Rostropovich.
Tooten committed himself to a career as a chamber music player and soloist. He has played both in Belgium and abroad for renowned conductors like Yoel Levy and Tan Dun.
The recital is being held today at the Aula Mgr G. Farrugia, Victoria, at 8pm. Entrance is free.
