Not to be outdone by Sigmund Mifsud (of Brian Schembri fame) and the National Philharmonic Orchestra with their performance of ‘the Prime Minister’s playlist’, it is being rumoured that self-styled impresario Jason Micallef (of V18 fame) is contemplating to stage the play Oliver Twist.

Apparently, the production is already at an advanced stage, although the location has not yet been established in view of the anticipated heavy demand for tickets from Labour trolls.

Most probably, the production will be entrusted to the ‘cultural’ Owen and the props will be in the hands of ‘Acapulco’ Chris, provided he is allowed to create his own setting. The script is being written by none other than ‘give me a smoking gun’ Evarist. The box office will, of course, be taken on by ‘Mr Surplus’ Edward, provided the accounts are audited by ‘henchman’ Brian. First aid will be afforded by ‘it’s the real thing’ Chris, provided the three hospitals are returned to the Maltese public.

It is understood that the cast is more or less already in place.

The role of the ‘manoeuvring’ Fagin will be taken on by the ‘conniving’ Keith, while the role of the ‘Artful Dodger’ will be per-formed by the already world-recognised and experienced Joseph.

The ‘sinister’ Konrad (courtesy of Panama) will play ‘sly’ Bill Sykes.

Michelle has volunteered to play the part of Nancy, provided it does not interfere with her Buttardi interests and her other charit-able pursuits.

It appears that the only problem is the role of Oliver. Apparently, there is some disagreement between impresario Jason and producer Owen as to who should really fit in the part of little Oliver. In the end, it is believed they have settled for ‘fatso’ Glen.

It is not certain whether the President will give her patronage, in view of the attendant responsibility.
