Employees working with people with disability at the newly opened Casa Apap Bologna – Respite Services are currently following a course leading to an Mcast level 3 award in disability studies. The course is being organised jointly by Caremalta Academy and Mcast.
The new academic year at the Caremalta Academy was recently inaugurated in the presence of students and lecturers as well as representatives from the college. More than 200 people are expected to attend the courses, ranging from disability studies to advanced healthcare and dementia care.
Casa Apap Bologna – Respite Services in Mosta will soon be offering respite services to people with disability, ranging from a weekend to longer periods. Such a service will provide informal carers, normally parents, with an opportunity for a much-needed break.
Casa Apap Bologna, run by HILA, a new organisation within Caremalta Group, provides people with disability benefitting from the respite services with an opportunity to learn how to live independently with the necessary support while socialising with others both within the home as well as within the community.
