The capital city came to life on Saturday evening as thousands of people swarmed into Valletta for the seventh edition of Notte Bianca, organised by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts.
Activities were held on the streets, in gardens and at cultural venues while state palaces and museums opened their doors to the public throughout the night.
Auberge de Castille, which houses the office of the Prime Minister, and St John’s Co-Cathedral proved quite popular.
At the cathedral, visitors were shown the restoration and application of 24-carat gold leaf around the chapel of Germany, while an underground World War II tunnel led people from Castille to the Auberge D’Italie.
