I am a Maltese religious of the Congregation of Our Lady of Sion posted in Jerusalem since Holy Week 1965.

My stay here has been blessed by many joys, first and foremost by living in the Holy Land where Jesus was born, lived and died for us. It is also in Jerusalem that the Lord rose from death and restored our sonship to the Father.

As everyone knows, the passion of the Lord continues even in our days in the sufferings of the people who, as a result of conflicts, struggle very hard to survive and make ends meet.

My ministry here has been mainly as an educator and a catechist. In this context, I meet many families who are in great need, especially during these difficult times.

The Mission Fund, founded in Malta on April 16, 1984, works very hard to raise funds to help Maltese and Gozitan missionaries working in Third World countries. It periodically sends us a certain amount of money to help those in need. I would like to appeal to readers to help the Mission Fund by sending them used stamps, used telecards and donations with which they could be of help to us Maltese missionaries in the Third World countries.
