Ater a 20-year absence, the Triennale International Exhibition made a comeback. It is currently being held in Milan until September 12.

The theme is XXI Century: Design after Design, one which will raise many questions on the meaning of design and its role in a constantly changing world.

The main issues addressed are the spread of design skills around the world in conjunction with the development of a global market and the breaking down of boundaries between architecture, urban planning, design, landscape, communication and the new relationship between these different skills.

The triennale will be a hub for multidisciplinary events organised in Milano and Monza.

Andrea Cancellato, general director of Triennale International Exhibition will talk about this event at the Italian Cultural Institute on Thursday at 7pm.

Admission for the talk is free.
