While thanking whoever was responsible for taking immediate action and repairing the lights in the upper part of the road from Attard to Żebbuġ just two days after the publication of my complaint in this paper, I do have one small question.

Why does one have to resort to the media in order to obtain something, which is a fundamental right of drivers, in this case well-lit roads.

The road in question had been left in pitch darkness for almost a month but when I pointed out the problem through a small letter in The Times the concerned department realised that something needed to be done!
