This time it was Buddha’s serene death that impressed John Guillaumier. In October last year it was Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy magazine.
It’s not important how you die, it’s how you live that matters. In fact, the Apostles willingly opted for the most atrocious and horrific death inflicted out of hatred for their faith in Christ and His teachings.
This made their soul worthy of immediate entrance into heaven.
However, I would not vouchsafe this passage into eternal bliss as about Hefner’s final destiny.
And why quote what a Buddhist monk commented about Christ’s crucifixion when there are volumes and volumes written about it by Christian believers.
The Bible itself tells us that a voice from heaven glorified the Father’s name just before Christ said: “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all things to myself” (John 12:32).
Could there be a more triumphant loving aura than this?
Aurora coelum purpurat.
The profound delight and bliss of the resurrection is at hand.
