This is a public “thank you” to the soldiers who came to our rescue at Ċirkewwa on April 20.

On our way to the ferry, at about 11 a.m., we were driven off the road by a selfish idiot (who had obviously not been waiting in the queue). We ended up on a “pavement”, on top of several pieces of concrete brick(?), unable to move!

Some tourists and soldiers came over immediately, to see what they could do.

The soldiers lifted the car and pulled away the pieces of brick, carefully and efficiently. We were then able to ease the car back down on to the road.

Incidentally, a very prominently displayed “disabled” sticker is affixed to the rear of the car!

Many many thanks to all of you!
