Celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsey, Lorraine Pascal and Phil Vickery have donated recipes for a campaign raising money for ex-service men and women battling sight loss.

Tarts For Troops is Blind Veterans UK’s annual summer fundraising event, which urges people to bake tarts and sell them in aid of the charity. The week-long campaign begins on June 29, which is Armed Forces Day.

Other famous faces showing their support for the campaign include MasterChef judge Greg Wallace, TV cook Tamasin Day-Lewis and Great British Bake Off finalist Mary-Anne Boermans.

Phil Vickery, resident chef on ITV1’s This Morning, said: “If, like me, you think that no one who has served our country should have to battle blindness alone, then please get involved in the Tarts For Troops campaign and help raise money for the work of Blind Veterans UK.”

Blind Veterans UK is a national charity which supports ex-servicemen and women who have been blinded in service or have lost their sight later in life.
