In a personal capacity, can I publicly thank Transport Malta for seeing to the spalling near a manhole adjacent to the old WSC building on Luqa hill.
This was causing cyclists to have to deviate away from the kerb and some spalling damage is not easy to spot until you are right on top of it. That might be a minor issue for drivers, but a pretty major one for cyclists, especially on a rather stiff uphill climb.
The fact that the work was completed in less than 48 hours of being reported is pretty exceptional. Well done Transport Malta!
The transport watchdog gets a lot of bad press, being much in the firing line, but it’s only fair, even though it might be low-hanging fruit, to give credit where it’s due.
