It is time to take real action to give back to the people prime land in areas like Armier and Mellieħa which has been illegally occupied for so many years.

It is criminal for the government to even consider offering any deals to such people. It’s like telling somebody who commits an armed robbery to return half of what he stole and keep the rest.

This land belongs to the public to enjoy peacefully and should not be occupied by bullies; otherwise we may as well follow the law of the jungle.

My suggestion is that we should start a national petition/referendum with support from the Maltese electorate which would be presented in Parliament for decisive action against illegal occupiers of public land.

Perhaps Alternattiva Demokratika should take this initiative, especially after it recently said it was willing to take the necessary action.
