St Margaret College boys school, Cospicua, will be holding Job Shadowing Week this month.

The event, organised by the school since 2008, gives 14- to 16-year-old students exposure to the workplace and a taste of the different industries in which they might choose to follow a career.

The initiative is supported by the Student Services Department within the Education Ministry.

In preparation for the week, the college collaborated with around 60 employers who will be taking on a student for a week and allow them to experience a typical daily work routine. The job placements are chosen according to the students’ career aspirations, both in the private and public sectors.

This year, in order to give students a more holistic experience, the college invited KONNEKT Search & Selection to contribute through informational sessions related to CV writing, interview preparation skills and job market trends.

Throughout the past week, careers workshops were delivered to students by KONNEKT team members at the school. These workshops were then supported by individual mock interviews with each of the 120 students participating in the Job Shadowing Week.
