Mane: Liverpool are in talks with Southampton over the signing of forward Sadio Mane. Although no fee has yet been agreed, discussions are ongoing and Liverpool are hopeful of bringing the player to Anfield for a fee in the region of £30m. The 24-year-old is viewed by Jurgen Klopp as the perfect candidate to boost Liverpool’s attack next season.

Sevilla: Sevilla have signed Hiroshi Kiyotake after the Japanese midfielder passed a medical yesterday morning. Kiyotake joins from German club Hannover on a four-year contract after terms were agreed on the transfer. The attacking midfielder, who spent four years with Hannover, has played 36 times for Japan, scoring three goals.

Kicked out: Algerian club Entente Setif have been kicked out of the African Champions League after fan violence caused their opening game of the group phase to be abandoned last weekend. The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) announced the unprecedented measure in response to the violent scenes at the end of Setif’s 2-0 home loss to Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa last week.

Dabo: St Etienne have snapped up midfielder Bryan Dabo on a four-year deal. The 24-year-old makes the switch after nine years at Montpellier. No terms of the deal were announced. Dabo said: “The president of Montpellier made a commitment to me and he kept his word.”
