Yarmolenko: Andriy Yarmo-lenko is Everton’s mid-season transfer window target with manager Roberto Martinez reportedly lining up a £20m bid for the Dynamo Kiev striker. It will be difficult for Everton to lure the Ukrainian to their fold with Kiev still in the UEFA Champions League. However, with Steven Naismith set to join Norwich City next month, Martinez will be keen to strengthen his options with a quality replacement.

Juve tour: Juventus will play in Australia next summer in the International Champions Cup. The tournament is fast becoming a regular fixture for pre-season friendlies between some of the world’s top clubs. Organisers confirmed yesterday that Juve, along with Tottenham, have been assigned to the Australian leg, where they will face A-League champions Melbourne Victory.

Batshuayi: Newcastle and Tottenham are in a race to try and sign Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi. Tottenham have already made their interest known in the 22-year-old while Newcastle scout Graham Carr was due to watch him in action yesterday. Newcastle are particularly anxious for more fire power with doubts over Papiss Cisse who wants to leave St James’ Park.

Njie: Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed Clinton Njie has undergone knee surgery. The Cameroon forward suffered a ligament injury during the Spurs’ 4-1 Europa League victory against Monaco earlier this month. Tottenham have not said how long Njie will be out for. The former Lyon player has made 13 appearances, but is yet to start in the Premier League, for Spurs this season.

Brozovic: Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic could be joining Arsenal in the Premier League next month, reports said yesterday. Brozovic was strongly linked with a move to the Gunners before joining Inter last January on an 18-month loan from Dinamo Zagreb. According to the Calciomercato website, Inter are willing to let Brozovic move to Arsenal for no less than £12 million.
