Storck: Hungary’s German coach Bernd Storck will lead the country at Euro 2016, having steered them to the finals after taking over in July for the remainder of the qualifying campaign, FA president Sandor Csanyi said yesterday. Hungary beat Norway 2-1 in Budapest on Sunday to wrap up a 3-1 aggregate win and a place in France where they will compete in their first European Championship for 44 years. “Storck did a great job. He will coach the team at the European Championship,” said Csanyi.

Liverpool: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s injury worries have been alleviated slightly after both James Milner and Jordon Ibe returned to training. Milner has recovered from a hamstring problem sustained in the Europa League victory against Rubin Kazan 12 days ago. Ibe withdrew from England Under-21s squad with a bruised knee but Press Association Sport reported that both took part in full training at Melwood yesterday .

Higuain: Argentina have received a boost ahead of today’s World Cup qualifier against Colombia as Gonzalo Higuain has been cleared to play in Barranquilla. The Napoli forward missed Saturday’s training session with a foot injury sustained in Friday’s 1-1 draw against Brazil. Higuain trained with the rest of the squad on Sunday and is expected to lead his team’s attack.

Messi: Barcelona forward Lionel Messi was back in training yesterday five days before the La Liga leaders play at second-placed Real Madrid in the first of the season’s two ‘Clasicos’. Messi has not featured since sustaining a knee injury at the end of September, depriving the Spanish and European champions of their talisman and top scorer.

UEFA U-21: Group 1 – Moldova vs Czech Rep. 1-3.

Lega Pro: Group A – Benevento vs Juve Stabia 1-1.
