Friendly: Germany will play Argentina in a friendly in September, days before they launch their Euro 2016 qualification campaign. Germany take on Scotland in their first Euro qualifier on September on Sept. 7 and will warm up against Argentina in Duesseldorf on Sept. 3. “It is our clear intention to play big and tough football nations outside the qualifiers,” DFB General Secretary Helmut Sandrock said.

Rangers: Rangers forwards David Templeton and Andy Little will both sit out tomorrow’s League One clash with Brechin and may also miss next month’s Ramsdens Cup final against Raith Rovers. Templeton (groin) and Little (thigh) were both injured against Airdrie last week and scans have shown their respective issues are likely to take weeks to heal.

Leeds: Leeds have secured the services of highly-rated teenager Robbie McDaid from Irish side Glenavon. The 17-year-old striker, who was a target for a number of English clubs, has signed a two-year deal at Elland Road. McDaid, a Northern Ireland youth international, bagged a brace in an impressive performance for Leeds Under-17s against Sheffield Wednesday last month.

New Coach: Levski Sofia have named former Bulgaria international Elin Topuzakov as interim coach until the end of the season, the 26-times champions said. The former Levski and Hapoel Tel Aviv defender won five Bulgarian league titles and six national cups with the Sofia-based club as a player and helped them reach the UEFA Cup quarter-finals in 2005. Levski are seventh in the standings on 44 points from 27 matches, 14 points behind leaders Litex Lovech.

Ings: Burnley have received good news on Championship Player of the Year Danny Ings’s ankle problem, although the England U-21 international is likely to be out for around three weeks. The Clarets’ top scorer, who has 25 goals this term, came off with the ligament injury against Birmingham and missed just his second game of the season against Leeds on Saturday. The 21-year-old revealed that his ankle was “okay” and that he would see a specialist on Wednesday.
