Charged: A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder after a Fenerbahce fan was stabbed to death on Sunday at an Istanbul bus station hours after a tense derby against arch-rivals Galatasaray. The suspect was caught after he fled Istanbul by bus. Police said the accused man did not know his victim, 19-year-old Burak Yildirim.

Remy: Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy has been arrested on suspicion of rape, sources said. The 26-year-old France international is being held by Scotland Yard’s sex crime squad together with two other men. A 34-year-old woman alleges that three men raped her on May 6 in west London.

Taylor: Newcastle utility man Ryan Taylor is heading for the US for career-saving surgery. The 28-year-old was yesterday bound for Colorado and the clinic of knee specialist Dr Richard Steadman after suffering a second anterior cruciate ligament injury of the season during training. Taylor has managed only two senior appearances this season.

Tiendalli: Defender Dwight Tiendalli says he is set to hold talks over extending his contract with Swansea. The Dutchman joined the Swans after Neil Taylor broke his ankle in September, and has proved a solid presence over the course of his 21 appearances to date.

Balotelli: Mario Balotelli will walk off the pitch the next time he suffers racial abuse from the crowd, the Milan and Italy forward said yesterday. Balotelli told CNN in an interview that he had come close to abandoning the match after being insulted by visiting Roma fans at San Siro on Sunday. “If it happens one more time, I’m going to leave the pitch, because it’s so stupid,” he said.
