Leali: Juventus have signed goalkeeper Nicola Leali from Brescia. The 19-year-old, who is considered one of the most promising goalkeepers in Italy, has put pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Serie A champions.

Campbell: Arsenal’s Costa Rican international striker Joel Campbell will spend next season on loan at Spanish club Betis. “It is a great opportunity for my development, I will be playing in the best league in the world and am determined to play and show what I am made of,” Campbell said.

Roma friendly: El Salvador will play a football friendly against Roma on July 27 as part of their preparations for the Concacaf qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup. The tie will take place at the Red Bulls Arena in New York. El Salvador are third in Group B with one point after two games.

Stoke City: Stoke City have agreed a deal with former Rangers midfielder Jamie Ness and he will complete his move to the Britannia Stadium once international clearance is received. The Scot-land U-21 midfielder is a free agent after exercising his right not to have his Rangers contract transferred to the ‘newco’ formed in the wake of the club’s financial problems.

Holt: Norwich City striker Grant Holt, 31, has ended speculation about his future by signing a new three-year deal with the club. Holt was one of the revelations of Norwich’s return to the top-flight last year, scoring 15 goals to help the club stay in the English Premier League.
