Bologna: Bologna harnessed the momentum from their surprise win at Inter on Friday to beat Fiorentina 2-0 at home yesterday. First-half goals from Alessandro Diamanti and Gaston Ramirez secured their second straight victory. It also moved them up two places to 14th in the table, while Fiorentina dropped a place to 13th.

Dawson: West Bromwich central defender Craig Dawson has signed a new three-and-a-half year contract. The England Under-21 international joined the Baggies from Rochdale during the sum-mer of 2010. He scored twice on his U-21 debut against Azerbaijan in September 2011, the same month as he made his first Premier League start.

Kuszczak: Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has joined Watford for the remainder of the season. The 29-year-old Poland international has failed to nail down a first team place at United since joining in 2006 and has been unable to dislodge either David de Gea or Anders Lindegaard this season.

Kehl: Borussia Dortmund captain Sebastian Kehl has extended his contract with the Bundesliga champions by a year. The 32-year-old former inter-national midfielder, who has played 203 Bundesliga games with Dortmund, will remain with the club until June 30, 2013.

Delap: Stoke City defender Rory Delap’s appeal against the red card picked up in last weekend’s FA Cup win over Crawley has been upheld. Delap was given his marching orders in the first half of Sunday’s 2-0 win after sliding in on Crawley’s David Hunt.
