The Sliema Philharmonic Society presents Sliema Light Orchestra in Concert at the Sir Temi Zammit Auditorium at the University of Malta in Msida on Saturday at8 p.m.

The concert features pop and rock music as well as selections from musicals and film soundtracks under the baton of Sigmund Mifsud.

The orchestra is ‘light’ because it comprises different strings, brass and rhythm sections.

Singers Raquela, Chris Grech, Gianluca Bezzina and Ozzy Lino will perform.

Tickets are at a donation of €10 and can be obtained from the Sliema Band Club, 34, St Trophimus Street, Sliema; Aquamarina, 48, Gżira Road, Gżira and C&C Techniques, Constitution Street, Mosta.
