Further cooperation between Malta and Singapore was discussed at a conference on citizenship by investment held in the southeast Asian country.

The enhancement of bilateral and commercial relations was discussed by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Lim Boon Heng, chairman of Temasek, a Singaporean investment company that controls a portfolio worth about €140 billion. The company employs about 500 people and has offices in 11 countries.

Prospects of possible investment in Malta and the Mediterranean region were also raised.
