Neil Robertson and Mark Selby will lock horns in the final of the China Open today, with the two looking for the perfect pre-World Championship boost.

Selby, the current UK and Masters champion, had a routine 6-2 semi-final victory over Shaun Murphy in his semi-final, while Australian Robertson had a tougher battle to see off Stephen Maguire by the odd frame in 11.

The duo have made it to today’s showpiece, though, and success in the last tournament before the World Championships start in Sheffield on April 20 is what both are aiming for.

Selby has won two other tournaments this season as well and a fifth would put him in the driving seat heading to South Yorkshire.

But win or lose today, the Leicester potter is feeling good ahead of his assault on what would be a maiden world title.

“I’ve had a great season already and to win five events would be brilliant but I’ve got a job to do tomorrow (today),” he said.

“I’ve had a good run here and I know my game is in the right shape going into the World Championship.”
