St Benedict’s College Boys’ Secondary School, Kirkop, recently organised an ‘Ecotech Week’ to raise awareness about controlling energy consumption.

Throughout the week, talks were given about waste management and energy efficiency. Students monitored energy consumption meters and the results were printed in graph form and shown to the school.

‘Flick the switch’ signs were placed in classrooms to remind students to turn off the lights when they leave a room.

The college even held a self-imposed hour-long power cut.
