A massive papier mâché grotesque mask depicting Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi dwarfs Culture Parliamentary Secretary José Herrera and the chairman of the Council for Culture and Arts, Albert Marshall, who announced yesterday that this year’s carnival, between February 28 and March 4, would return to St George’s Square after 40 years. The mask heralds the re-introduction of political satire to carnival.
