Aspiring beauty therapists can now train at a specialised spa academy thanks to a collaboration between Myoka Spas, Marion Mizzi Wellness Spas and the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC).

M Spa Academy will be offering full-time and part-time courses at a new beauty and body therapy training centre in Sliema. Students who complete their courses will be given the opportunity to work in one of the five-star resorts of Myoka and Marion Mizzi Wellness Spas.

ITEC, a world leader in beauty and complementary therapies, has been awarding high-quality international qualifications since 1947, while Marion Mizzi and Myoka Spas have been growing rapidly since 1977, with outlets all over the island.

Courses start on February 1. To enrol, students can contact M Spa Academy on 2157 2156 or academy@myoka.com, or visit www.facebook.com/mspaacademy.

Vodafone holds third Geek Friday with techies

Vodafone Malta, in collaboration with Gadgets, once again hosted a Geek Friday event at Cafe Cuba, where a number of techies were invited to review the latest gadgets on the market including the Samsung S4, the iPhone 5S, the Vodafone Smart 4G and the Nokia 625, all devices that can use Vodafone’s 4G.

“We are very happy with our phone and tablets portfolio but are always looking for new feedback from our clients,” said Karl Galea at Vodafone Malta.

“Geek Friday brings together our most techy customers without phone portfolio plans. The feedback we get is useful to maintain Vodafone’s reputation as the Home of the Smartphone.”
