Orchestra Paulus is organising a grand concert of sacred music at St Paul’s collegiate church, Rabat, on February 9 at 7.30pm, to commemorate the feast of St Paul’s Shipwreck, the fourth centenary of Mattia Preti’s birth and the International Year of Faith.

The orchestra is a voluntary organisation set up to promote sacred music, promote local talent and the Pauline cult in Malta.

The concert will feature the Oratorio Apostolo delle Genti, written by Mgr Marco Frisina (pictured), a celebrated composer and director of the Rome diocesan choir to Malta, who will be on an official visit to Malta between February 8 and 9.

The concert is being supported by APS Bank and the Malta Arts Fund. For more information, visit www.marcofrisina.com/website/it/appuntamenti.html.
