Mazars Malta recently launched a number of work-life balance measures for its staff members. The aim of these measures is to grant employees the opportunity to achieve a correct balance between their home and working lives.
Work-life balance is a very important issue for the company and the introduction of such measures is a firm commitment by Mazars Malta partners.
A number of these schemes are flexibility-based, whereby employees can benefit from various start/finish times, opt for reduced hours, switch from full-time to part-time employment, or even increase their vacation leave entitlement.
Other incentives launched are more family-oriented, among which are subsidised childcare, dual purpose sick leave, whereby an employee can make use of his/her sick-leave entitlement when their child is sick, and parental leave.
Mazars Malta HR and communications manager Fleur Farrugia said the introduction of work-life balance measures at the workplace, especially within the financial services sector, was crucial to retain, while continuously developing, employees.
“The introduction of these measures is part of a process of an ongoing culture change built on mutual trust between the firm and the employee, based on commitment while attaining the required work efficiency parameters,” Ms Farrugia said.
