At one point, the author of the article The Unbearable Nuisance Of Being Liberal And Progressive (July 16) says, in reference to his object of criticism: “Let us have a Christian attitude today, an amoral one tomorrow.” This, within the context of his argument, seems to imply that only those of Christian faith hold any sort of morality.

As an atheist I find this kind of reasoning closed minded and rather offensive. Religion and morality are not synonymous.

I do get what the author was trying to say, however, I felt the manner in which he communicated his point was quite unfortunate.
