Le Méridien St Julian’s Hotel and Spa recently launched a creative committee called LM100Malta, including members from various artistic disciplines.

To kick off their programme of activities, the hotel organised a morning event entitled Prima Tazza at the KuDéTa Bar and Lounge. The event was aimed at reinforcing the coffee culture at the hotel.

Hotel patrons, guests and members of the press and other personalities were invited. Radio XFM 100.2 broadcast live from KuDéTa with presenter Steve Hili sharing comments with guests.

Coffee representative Julian Calascione greeted the guests with a short speech about the coffee culture in general.

While guests were enjoying coffee and morning treats, mezzo-soprano Marie Therese Vassallo sang the first few notes of Habanera from the opera Carmen.

Hotel general manager Franco Vella said: “We are extremely glad the launch went well, and most importantly that our guests truly enjoyed themselves.

The new creative committee is available to organise other similar events in future.
