Simon Busuttil, on behalf of the Opposition, has warned the Attorney General not to fall victim to the government’s political interference on the smart meters scam when deciding whether the police should prosecute consumers who got involved in this scam.

It is Busuttil who is trying to put pressure on the Attorney General through his comment.

The leader of the Opposition is making it very clear that if the decision does not agree with his and the Opposition’s position, the Attorney General will end up accused of allowing political interference in his work.
