Whenever I believe that Nationalist Party and Opposition leader, Adrian Delia, had reached the climax of his political naivety, as a result of some ludicrous argument he makes, he invariably proves me wrong. In fact, what he said while addressing party hardliners at the Msida PN club on March 11 must have left the vast majority of Maltese and Gozitans in a fit of laughter.

For those readers who may have missed this unique ‘gem’ in his collection, Delia opined that “today, anyone who cannot afford to go out and have a pizza once a week, feels that he/she is worse off than other people. So, the husband works one, two, three jobs. While his wife/partner, works one, two jobs”.

In other words, according to Delia, who has admitted on TVM he is not a politician, for a couple to be able to afford a pizza once a week, five jobs are needed. No wonder Delia has admitted that he is not a politician. What ‘politician’ would make such a stupid argument?

Sincerely, can anyone en-dowed even with a modicum of sense, imagine this man as prime minister, with David Agius as his deputy?
